I never owned one of these things, however, a friend of mine used his to sharpen his lawnmower blades. I have always had a bench grinder - using the angle grinder with a medium flap disc I purchased at Home Depot, these blades are SHARP and look professionally done. Money well spent - and the yard looks much better with a sharp blade!

This tool has good power but the on of switch is very poorly laid out and with gloves on it is very hard to find. The lock to change blades is also very hard to use and sometime it takes 3 or 4 tries before it will lock.
I have one of the old type and it is a lot more comfortable to use. I would not reccommend this tool to anyone.

I tried other angle grinders and found the Makita product to be the same as my old Makita cordless drill. A solid feeing and smooth running small power tool. I don't know how it would hold up in commercial use but, for around the house it has good, smooth power, solid feel and ease of use.
