With a powerful 7.5 Amp motor, and 10000 RPM, the Makita 9557 NB Factory reconditioned angle grinder is designed for tough jobsite conditions. This angle grinder features Makita's exclusive labyrinth construction that twist seals the motor and protects it from contaminates like dust and debris. A small circumference barrel grip on this Makita power grinder provides easy handling and the double insulated motor provides additional safety. The small circuit drum traction has a view to help in increased maneuverability of the angle grinder. Energy loss in minimized, as the coil wires are wound close to each other.
Use the Makita reconditioned grinder on either AC or DC, and the AC/DC switch is placed right on the top of the tool for convenience. This model is the common one found at big box stores, so is not as great quality as the more powerful Makita grinders in this class. We've used these with some success for years, and if you want a grinder for 'around the house use', this one is just fine.
However, buyer beware when purchasing from "CPO Makita", as we bought a Makita grinder from them that arrived DOA (dead on arrival). CPO refused to refund or replace the purchase, and dealing with them has been a bad experience. I've never had a problem with tools I purchased directly from Amazon.
